Slightly sarcastic. Surprisingly effective.

Your AI engineering manager lives in Slack.

DevManager helps developers stay focused with lightweight focus sessions, quarter-hour check-ins, and the exact amount of ironic pressure needed to finally stop pretending that reading one more tab is “research”.

Slack-native 15-minute nudges Simple commands Built for makers

Start fast

Launch a session in seconds and stay inside Slack instead of jumping between yet another productivity tool and another tab you did not need.

Quarter-hour timing

Nudges are sent every 15 minutes and aligned to real clock marks: 00, 15, 30, and 45. Clean, predictable, and easy to follow.

Actually motivating

DevManager uses short, ironic check-ins that feel more like a watchful engineering manager than a generic focus timer.

How it works

  1. Install DevManager in your Slack workspace.
  2. Send a message like focus 60 or focus 120.
  3. Receive short nudges every 15 minutes while your session is active.
  4. Check progress with status or end the session with stop.

Commands

focus 60
Start a 60-minute focus session.
focus N
Start a N-minute focus session.
status
See whether a session is active and when the next nudge is expected.
stop
End the current focus session.
